Our service uses a number of measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT). Such measures include identity verification or KYC (Know Your Client), verification of place of residence, origin of funds, and some other measures.

Learn more about AML/CFT measures in the legal information section: https://app.vataga.trading/legal-information/

WHY IS VERIFICATION IMPORTANT?
  • Maintaining anonymity makes it difficult for the user to prove the ownership of the funds, including to law enforcement agencies.
  • The opposite is also true - without documentary evidence it is more difficult to prove your non-involvement in any suspicious activities.
  • We want to protect our users from fraudsters and criminally obtained funds.

In general, transparency attracts more investors and enthusiasts to the crypto world. The more people participate, the more actively our area develops and the more benefits all crypto market participants receive. Few people would want to invest in an industry where funds from the darknet circulate freely.

Document requirements

If necessary, the company has the right to request documents. Depending on the situation, the following information may be requested:

  • Bank statements, account movements, tax returns and other documents to confirm the source of income for the last year.
  • Your employment history for the last year.
  • Other additional information, such as professional biography, bank recommendation, etc.

I can't pass verification

Listed below are the most common reasons why verification difficulties arise.

“Invalid file format” error, unable to send verification request

If an error occurs, check both files.

  • You changed file extensions manually. For example, the document was in HEIC, and you renamed it to JPG. This applies to all formats. Such files will not pass verification.
  • Photos were taken in burst mode. Formats such as Live photo for iOS, Top shot for Google Pixel and other similar formats when several photos are saved into one file are not supported.
  • Photos were saved from messenger. Some popular instant messengers allow you to choose which format to save files as, but do not actually perform the conversion.

You are required to get verified again, although a verification request has been sent / verification has already been completed

  • Poor quality of photos or scans. The system will not be able to recognize your data if it is poorly distinguishable.
  • The document doesn't have your photo. Without a photo, you cannot verify that this document belongs to you.
  • Expired document. The ID must not be expired and the proof of residence document must not be older than 3 months. If any document has expired, you will need to go through verification again with a new document.
